“Coldplay to headline Big Weekend Festival in 2024”
Coldplay has been announced as the final headliner for BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend 2024. The band, led by Chris Martin, will take the stage on Sunday, May 26 at Stockwood Park in Luton, Bedfordshire. This comes ahead of their headline performance at Glastonbury in June.
In addition to Coldplay, other artists set to perform on the main stage include Declan McKenna, Olly Alexander, and Vampire Weekend. The New Music Stage will feature acts like beabadoobee, CMAT, Everything Everything, and Teddy Swims.
The lineup for the festival also includes RAYE headlining on Saturday, May 25, with Aitch, Griff, Joel Corry, and Mabel among the other main stage performers that day. Charli XCX will headline the New Music Stage with The Last Dinner Party, Shygirl, and Tems also scheduled to perform.
Drum and bass icons Chase and Status will headline the night before, joined by artists like Becky Hill, Ella Henderson, and Rudimental. Another major artist is expected to be announced soon.
