‘Celebrating Spring 2024 Graduation at University of Florida’
The University of Florida (UF) has announced the keynote speakers for its upcoming spring commencement ceremonies. Carlton Ward Jr., a UF alum and conservation photographer famous for his work with the Florida panther and the Florida Wildlife Corridor, will address graduates at the University-Wide Commencement Ceremony. Dr. Gilbert R. Upchurch Jr., a UF vascular surgeon and chair of the department of surgery, will deliver the keynote address at the UF Doctoral Ceremony.
Ward Jr. is well known for his stunning photography capturing the beauty of Florida’s wildlife and advocating for the conservation of the state’s natural lands and native species. His work with the Florida panther and the Florida Wildlife Corridor has earned him recognition as a champion for wildlife preservation.
Dr. Upchurch Jr., on the other hand, is a distinguished vascular surgeon and a member of the National Academy of Medicine. His leadership in the field of surgery and dedication to patient care make him an ideal speaker for the UF Doctoral Ceremony.
Both speakers bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the commencement ceremonies, and their addresses are sure to inspire and motivate the graduating students as they embark on the next chapter of their lives.
