Chris Meredith Appointed Chief Investment Officer of Tax Smart Solutions at Asset Management Firm
J.P. Morgan Asset Management has appointed Chris Meredith as their new Chief Investment Officer (CIO) for Tax-Smart Strategies. Meredith, who previously worked at O’Shaughnessy Asset Management, will be tasked with overseeing the management and development of tax-smart investment capabilities across both index and active strategies.
Meredith’s arrival at J.P. Morgan Asset Management coincides with a growing demand for seamless and digital-first experiences among advisors and clients. His appointment reflects the firm’s commitment to expanding and enhancing its Tax-Smart platform to meet the evolving needs of investors.
In his role as CIO of Tax-Smart Strategies, Meredith will collaborate closely with J.P. Morgan Asset Management’s tax-smart technology platform, 55ip, to introduce new products and capabilities. He will report directly to Jed Laskowitz, the firm’s CIO and Global Head of Asset Management Solutions.
With over 30 years of experience in leading portfolio management teams, investment research, product design, and trading, Meredith brings a wealth of knowledge to his new position. His most recent role was serving as CIO at Franklin Templeton’s subsidiary, O’Shaughnessy Asset Management.
