Contemporary Music Festival at Tennessee University
The University of Tennessee College of Music hosts an annual Contemporary Music Festival that showcases new music, workshops, and paper presentations each spring. This festival brings together guest performers, scholars, and composers from all over the world to celebrate contemporary music.
Guest performer Eunmi Ko will be featured at this year’s festival, performing works commissioned for her MUTED project. These works explore the experiences of Asian and Asian-American women living in America, offering a unique commentary through music. Featured composers at the festival include Anruo Cheng, Grace Ann Lee, and Chen-Hui Jen, who will discuss the works they have created for this project. Additionally, the music of Ania Vu will also be highlighted.
