“Exciting Announcement: Savannah Voice Festival’s 12th Season “Homecoming” Tickets Available April 15″
The Savannah VOICE Festival is set to showcase the beauty of the human voice in its twelfth season, running from August 8-18, 2024. The festival will feature a variety of opera productions, recitals, concerts, musical theatre, and songs, highlighting the diversity of voices in a celebration of music.
This season’s theme, “Homecoming,” will honor the Festival’s artists, audiences, and the city of Savannah. Audiences will have the opportunity to enjoy performances in the stunning venues throughout the historic city, creating a truly memorable experience.
One of the highlights of the Festival will be Savannah OPERA’s presentation of Gilbert and Sullivan’s “The Pirates of Penzance” on Saturday, August 17 at the Yamacraw Performing Arts Center. This production is a collaborative effort involving Festival Artists, Milnes VOICE Studio singers, Chatham County School students, and a Savannah OPERA orchestral ensemble. The performance will be conducted by Jorge Parodi and directed by Chad Sonka, promising a captivating and engaging show for all attendees.
