Family-Friendly Manchester Histories Festival in 2024
The Manchester Histories Festival 2024 is set to take place from June 6-9, 2024, offering a weekend of family fun filled with history, culture, and creativity. This ninth edition of the festival, presented in partnership with The University of Manchester and Manchester Metropolitan University, promises to be a spectacular event.
One of the highlights of the festival will be a day of public talks, workshops, and music exploring sound heritage at Manchester Metropolitan University on Saturday, June 8. Additionally, the Celebration Day at the historic Whitworth Hall and campus on Sunday, June 9, will be part of the Universally Manchester Festival.
The festival will feature a variety of activities for people of all ages, including music, performances, talks, vintage vehicles, crafts, and food. Attendees can look forward to engaging with fascinating and innovative artists, cultural organizations, and individuals who will be sharing their stories and talents with the community.
Another exciting event at the Manchester Histories Festival 2024 is the R Histories Open Mic Extravaganza at Manchester Central Library on June 7 and 8. This open mic invites participants to share their historical tales, from obscure anecdotes to heartwarming stories.
