Happy Egg Expands Offerings with Introduction of Pasture-Raised Eggs

Happy Egg Expands Product Portfolio with New Pasture-Raised Eggs Amid Growing Demand for Ethical Food Choices
In light of the increasing consumer preference for ethically produced food, specifically high-quality eggs, Happy Egg has announced the expansion of its product line to include pasture-raised eggs. This decision comes at a pivotal moment for the egg industry, particularly in light of recent egg shortages attributed to outbreaks of Avian influenza. In an effort to stabilize supply and meet growing consumer demand, Happy Egg is enhancing its partnerships with family farmers dedicated to sustainable practices.
The new pasture-raised eggs are sourced from hens raised on 50 acres of spacious pastures. These hens are cared for by small family farmers who prioritize animal welfare, offering a significant contrast to traditional farming practices. The nutritional quality of the eggs is evident in their signature vibrant orange yolks, a product of a carefully crafted, nutrient-rich diet and ample space for the hens to roam freely.
Happy Egg’s latest product launch aims to facilitate access to high-quality egg options for families, reinforcing the brand’s commitment to not only animal welfare but also to sustainability in egg production. This expansion follows the company’s recent acquisition of Egg Innovations, a move designed to enhance its capacity to meet the burgeoning market demands while maintaining its ethical standards in farming.
“Our pasture-raised eggs reflect everything Happy Egg stands for: exceptional care for our hens, rich yolks that look and taste incredible, and food that brings joy to the table,” commented Whitney Fortin, Chief Marketing Officer at Happy Egg Co. This sentiment emphasizes Happy Egg’s dedication to providing quality eggs that are not only good for consumers but also honor the well-being of the hens that produce them.
Hens in the Happy Egg pasture-raised program are granted year-round outdoor access, with each bird enjoying 108 square feet of pasture. Located primarily in the Ozarks and the Midwest, these hens benefit from natural sunlight and fresh air, which together contribute to the superior flavor of their eggs. This new line complements Happy Egg’s existing free-range egg offerings, which similarly provide outdoor access for the hens. Both product lines are certified by American Humane, further substantiating Happy Egg’s commitment to high animal welfare standards.
Customers can currently find the new pasture-raised eggs in 12-count cartons at selected retail locations across California, Colorado, Oregon, and Washington, with plans for expansion into additional states in the near future.
