Honoree Spotlight: Michael Dudich
Michael Dudich has recently assumed the role of Executive Director at the Biggs Museum of American Art in Dover, Delaware. With a background as the former deputy director for the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art in Hartford, Conn., Dudich is well-equipped to lead this prestigious institution. His familiarity with the museum, having previously served on the board of directors for five years, gives him a unique perspective on its operations.
Dudich’s vision for the Biggs Museum includes plans to revitalize its focus on American Art from the 18th and 19th centuries. One of his first initiatives is a major exhibit featuring artwork from the renowned Wyeth family, spanning three generations. Additionally, Dudich is exploring the museum’s expanded facilities, including the recent acquisition of 15/21 The Green in historic Old Dover.
A graduate of the University of Akron, Ohio, Dudich brings a wealth of experience and a fresh perspective to his new role. He is also actively involved in the Delaware Arts Alliance board, demonstrating his commitment to the local arts community.
