‘Jelly Roll teams up with Limp Bizkit to perform cover of the Who at Welcome to Rockville’
Jelly Roll Joins Limp Bizkit to Cover the Who at Welcome to Rockville
It has been a season of surprising collaborations for country star Jelly Roll, who recently shared the Stagecoach stage with T-Pain. Adding to the list of unexpected partnerships, Jelly Roll appeared alongside Limp Bizkit at the Welcome to Rockville Festival in Daytona Beach, Florida.
Both Jelly Roll and Limp Bizkit were part of the lineup for the festival, and during Limp Bizkit’s set, they performed a cover of the Who’s “Behind Blue Eyes.” Frontman Fred Durst engaged with the crowd, calling for an “angel” to come out and save him, which led to Jelly Roll joining the band on stage to deliver the song’s second verse.
Backstage, Durst continued with the angel theme, as seen in an Instagram post where he referred to Jelly Roll as an “angel” and joked about his appearance.
In addition to his rock collaborations, Jelly Roll also covered Bon Jovi at a MusiCares gala for Jon Bon Jovi and has been making appearances at rock-oriented festivals like Welcome to Rockville in 2024.
After a summer of performing at music festivals, Jelly Roll will kick off his Beautifully Broken tour, visiting 37 arenas across North America starting on August 27 in Salt Lake City, Utah and concluding on October 27 in Charlotte, North Carolina. This tour is sure to showcase Jelly Roll’s versatility and talent across different music genres.
