Lindex filled Gothenburg with a sea of pink umbrellas

Today, more than 300 Lindex employees gathered in Gothenburg for Walk for Pink. Together, they created a sea of pink umbrellas to raise awareness of breast cancer, celebrate advances in research and show their support for everyone affected by the disease.

“Driving meaningful change for women is at the heart of everything we do at Lindex. I am incredibly proud to see hundreds of employees come together in this manifestation for a cause that affects so many. The sea of pink umbrellas is a powerful symbol of hope and togetherness, and of the importance of raising awareness about breast health and continuing to support life-saving research,” says Susanne Ehnbåge, CEO of Lindex.

During the approximately two-kilometre walk through central Gothenburg, participants carried Pink Umbrella, the breast-shaped designer umbrella created by Lindex together with Swedish designer Jonas Frank.

Pink Umbrella is part of Lindex’s long-term commitment to women’s health and was created to raise awareness of breast health. All profits from sales of Pink Umbrella will be donated to cancer research, and the umbrella will become a year-round part of Lindex’s assortment. During October, Lindex also sells the Swedish Cancer Society’s Pink Ribbon and bracelet, with all proceeds going directly to cancer research.

Lindex has been engaged in the Pink Ribbon campaign since 2003. Together with its customers, the fashion company has raised a total of 23.8 MEUR for cancer research.
