‘Matthias Goerne and Evgeny Kissin’s upcoming concerts in the United States’
Renowned baritone Matthias Goerne and pianist Evgeny Kissin are set to captivate North American audiences with three upcoming recitals in April. The talented duo will take the stage at Severance Music Center in Cleveland, OH on Sunday, April 14 at 3pm, followed by a performance at Roy Thomson Hall in Toronto, ON on Sunday, April 21 at 2pm, and concluding their tour at Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage at Carnegie Hall in New York, NY on Thursday, April 25 at 8pm.
Goerne and Kissin’s program will showcase art songs from the Romantic period, featuring works by composers such as Robert Schumann and Johannes Brahms. The repertoire will include Schumann’s iconic “Dichterliebe” and Brahms’s “Lieder und Gesänge,” as well as selections from his “Songs after Poems by Heinrich Heine.”
Both Goerne and Kissin boast impressive resumes, with Goerne having performed with prestigious orchestras and at renowned festivals and concert halls like the Salzburg Festival, New York Philharmonic, and Wiener Philharmonic.
