Stardew Valley fans have much to look forward to as the game’s creator, Erik “Concerned Ape” Barone, announced the release date of Stardew Valley 1.6 on PC. Set to launch on March 19, this update comes as the game celebrates its eighth anniversary.

Barone expressed gratitude to players for their support over the years and shared the exciting news on Twitter. Following the PC release, the update will be rolled out to console and mobile platforms.

This highly anticipated update will be the first major one since 2020, with Barone dedicating his efforts to its development since April 2023. Fans can expect new festivals, late-game content, items, crafting recipes, and more. The update also introduces new features like alternate Joja versions of end-game quests, winter outfits for villagers, and support for 8-player multiplayer on PC.

With over 30 million copies sold and a concert tour and official cookbook in the works, Stardew Valley continues to thrive. Fans can mark their calendars for March 19 to experience all the new content and changes Barone has been diligently working on.
