Shawn Mendes makes a comeback to live shows, hints at upcoming music announcements
Shawn Mendes is gearing up for his long-awaited return to live performances, headlining the 40th anniversary edition of the Rock in Rio festival in Brazil on September 22. The Canadian singer, who had canceled his Wonder Tour in 2022 to prioritize his mental health, recently joined his friend Niall Horan onstage in London, giving fans a taste of what’s to come.
Expressing his excitement on Instagram, Shawn shared, “It’s been a really long time since I last played live… I’ve missed being on stage and seeing you all in person so much! I’ve also been working on a new album and I can’t wait to play these new songs live for you. See you there.”
Rock in Rio is set to take place from September 13-15 and September 19-22, with an expected attendance of 700,000 fans in Rio de Janeiro.
