The World’s Tallest Wooden Wind Turbine Tower – A Visual Overview of Sustainability

Swedish startup Modvion has achieved a remarkable feat by constructing the world’s tallest wooden wind turbine tower. This groundbreaking approach of combining wood with wind power is gaining attention for its sustainability and eco-friendly characteristics.

Traditionally, steel has been the primary material used in turbine construction. However, the limitations of steel, combined with the need for taller turbines to capture stronger winds, pose logistical challenges. The world’s tallest wooden turbine tower, standing at 105 meters near Gothenburg, has already started generating electricity to power 400 homes and is appropriately named the Wind of Change.
