‘Upcoming Hyundai N Vision 74 Model Could Enter Production by 2026 with Price Tag of £285k’
Hyundai created quite a buzz in the automotive world when they unveiled the N Vision 74 concept in 2022. This concept car drew inspiration from the Giugiaro-designed Pony Coupe concept from 1974 but gave it a modern twist with a high-performance hydrogen-electric powertrain and futuristic cyberpunk styling.
Since its debut, enthusiasts have been eagerly anticipating the possibility of a production version of the N Vision 74. According to reports from The Korea Economic Daily, Hyundai is gearing up to launch a limited-run production model of the N Vision 74 in 2026, positioning it as a halo model with supercar performance.
The production model is said to feature a rear-wheel drive electric powertrain powered by hydrogen fuel cells, delivering around 764bhp and a 0-62mph time of three seconds. The plan includes building just 200 units, each with gullwing doors, and pricing them at approximately 500 million Korean Won (around £285,000).
Hyundai’s decision to push forward with the N Vision 74 into production is part of their larger strategy to develop a “hydrogen ecosystem” and invest further in hydrogen technology. While official confirmation is still pending, rumors suggest that Hyundai’s chairman and CEO, Chung Eui-Sun, is a strong supporter of the project.
Given Hyundai’s track record with high-power electric drivetrains and innovative designs, such as the Ioniq 5 N, the possibility of the N Vision 74 becoming a reality is certainly something to look forward to. It could potentially make up for the loss of models like the i20 and i30 N. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting development in the automotive world.
