‘Upcoming UK Debut of Latest Dacia Spring Model’ –
Dacia has revealed an updated version of its Spring electric car, set to be the cheapest new EV in Europe and potentially the same in the UK. The Spring weighs in at just under 1,000kg, making it one of the lightest EVs on the market. While it may not offer the range or luxury of higher-end electric cars, the Spring is designed as a practical city runaround vehicle.
With a compact size and a small 26.8kWh battery, the Spring offers a range of over 137 miles. Charging the battery from 20% to 100% takes just four hours on a 7kW wallbox, or 45 minutes on a 30kW charger. For urban commuters, the Spring’s range and charging capabilities are well-suited to daily use.
The updated design features a new Dacia grille and modern color options. Inside, all models come with a seven-inch digital dash, with higher trims adding a 10-inch central display. The Spring also includes innovative features like YouClip points and a 3D-printed cupholder for added convenience.
In the UK, the Spring will be available in Essential, Expression, and Extreme trims. The top-of-the-line Extreme model offers premium features like V2L charging, rear electric windows, and phone mirroring. Pricing for the Spring is expected to start at under £15k in Europe, making it an affordable option for budget-conscious buyers.
Overall, the Dacia Spring presents a practical and cost-effective electric vehicle option for those looking for a simple and dependable city car. With its lightweight design, modern features, and competitive pricing, the Spring is poised to make a splash in the EV market.
