Mindful Wednesday – March 5th Edition

Join the WPI Community for Mindful Wednesdays and Thursdays: A Path to Reduced Stress and Enhanced Awareness

In today’s fast-paced world, finding moments of tranquility can be challenging. Recognizing the need for greater mindfulness and stress reduction, the Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) is proud to invite its community members to participate in “Mindful Wednesdays” and “Mindful Thursdays.” These drop-in meditation sessions are specifically designed to promote mental well-being and self-awareness, encouraging participants to carve out time amidst their busy schedules for reflection and relaxation.

The sessions are open to all members of the WPI community, catering to individuals regardless of their prior experience with meditation. Each meditation will be guided by a certified instructor, ensuring that both novices and seasoned practitioners can engage comfortably in the practice. The sessions aim to provide participants with tools to cope better with the stressors of daily life while fostering a sense of community and support.

Mindful Wednesdays are scheduled from 12:15 PM to 12:35 PM in the Center for Well-Being, located in Daniels Hall Room 102E. For those unable to attend in person, the session will also be available via Zoom, allowing remote participants to join the meditation seamlessly. Additionally, participants can look forward to receiving a weekly email, titled “Mindfulness Tools To-Go,” every Friday. This communication will include curated resources such as meditations, insightful poems shared during the week, and various mindfulness techniques to enhance daily practices. The initiative aims not only to foster personal well-being but also to strengthen connections within the WPI community as individuals share their mindfulness journeys.
