‘Blur, James Rhodes, Samurai, and Stay Homes confirmed for the 14th edition of the Mallorca Film Festival.’
The highly anticipated Spanish premiere of the documentary “Blur to the End,” directed by renowned music video director Toby L, is set to be a major highlight of a festival that seamlessly blends music and cinema. Offering unprecedented access to exclusive material, “Blur To the End” chronicles the band’s reunion after a decade leading up to their iconic performance at Wembley.
Another music documentary, “Stay Homs: The Band That Wasn’t Supposed to Exist,” will also grace the festival’s main stage, Ses Voltes. This picturesque venue, located in front of Majorca Cathedral, can accommodate over 1,000 attendees and features a 16-meter screen. Following the screening of the documentary, the Catalan band Stay Homs will treat the audience to a special concert filled with their greatest hits.
Acclaimed pianist James Rhodes will be a key figure in the festival’s closing ceremony, which will be broadcast live for the first time in the event’s history by IB3. Apart from his performance at the closing concert, Rhodes will also introduce the entertaining and educational animated series “Jimmy and the Magic Key,” offering a captivating journey through the history of classical music.
Over the course of 10 days, festival-goers can indulge in a diverse lineup of unique concerts, including Al-Azz’s showcase of his latest album, “Conducción temeraria,” in one of three exclusive performances in the country this year. Additionally, Eurovision veterans Nebulosa and Alfred Garcia, along with other exciting artists like Rosowski, Ralphie Chu, Pablopablo, Cristina Rosenfing, Giulietta, Maria Heine, Clara Pia, Moreo, Fads, Vicente Navarro, Mikel Serra, and many more, will grace the stage. The festival will also feature a DJ session with Aina Losange, Sideways, and Ojeras Hidratadas.
