‘Huntsville Music Office’s Quarterly Meetup Scheduled for March 19’

The Huntsville music scene is buzzing with excitement and creativity, offering a variety of opportunities for musicians and music enthusiasts to connect and collaborate. The HSV Quarterly Music Meetup on March 19 at Mars Music Hall at the Von Braun Center from 6-8 p.m. is a great chance to network and engage with like-minded individuals.

Hosted by Huntsville Music Officer Matt Mandrella and members of Huntsville’s Music Board, this free event will showcase the upcoming initiatives and events planned for the year. From the Women’s Expo on March 22-24 to Panoply on April 26-28, Make Music Day on June 21, and Huntsville Music Month in September, there are plenty of ways to support and celebrate local music.

One successful program gaining traction is the Music Ambassador Program (MAP), which supports touring artists in the Huntsville area. According to Mandrella, having local musicians represent the city on tour is a valuable promotional tool.

Exciting news on the horizon includes a large-scale music festival at John Hunt Park, produced by C3 Presents. While details are still being finalized, Mandrella is optimistic about the positive impact this festival will have on the local music scene.

With a surge of energy and creativity, Huntsville’s music scene is on the rise, drawing attention both locally and nationally. There is no shortage of incredible events and projects to look forward to in 2024 and beyond, making it an exciting time to be involved in the Huntsville music community.
